The director of this period flick K.S. Ravikumar who was constantly in touch with the superstar while he was recuperating from Singapore is believed to have called back all his artists, whom he had permitted to shoot for other films until further notice from him.

The director is believed to have got his heroine Deepika Padukone’s call sheet from September. It is also believed that, the director as well as the lead actor Rajinikanth, have decided to complete the dialogue scenes in the film first.

The stunts as well as the songs in the film will be decided upon later, suggest sources close to the filming team. ‘Rana’ initially had required scenes where the superstar was to ride on a horseback and perform sword stunts. But those scenes might also get reworked keeping the health of superstar in mind, or will be canned at a later stage after finishing the dialogue portions first.
