Malaysia has its greatest presence yet at FilMart with 27 companies participating in the country’s pavillion.

Organisers of the FilMart delegation claim that there are 50 new “properties” from the country launching in the Hong Kong market that include movies, animations, documentaries and television drama series.

The biggest budgeted title is KRU Studio’s English language historical epic The Malay Chronicles: Bloodlines (Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa) that was recently released on 68 screens in Malaysia and Brunei.

Other fresh titles at FilMart include James Lee’s bloody new horror film Claypot Curry Killers (pictured) and Chiu Keng Guan’s road movie Great Day. Both are Chinese language films.
