More videos for our dear readers as Singapore gears up for its onslaught of local films starting this August. Here’s the official trailer of Month of Hungry Ghost, directed by Tony Kern and produced by Genevieve Woo, slated to hit screens at GV and Sinema Old School 7 Aug 2008!

Every year in parts of Asia during the seventh lunar month it is believed that the gates of Hell are opened and all the souls are set free to wander the earth. At this time many spirits roam around trying to fulfill their past needs, wants and desires. These are the “hungry ghosts.”

Tony Kern’s works include narrative, documentary and animated films and video. He owns a stock footage company TK Time-Lapse and won a Silver Award at the 2004 International Promax and BDA Awards and the Audience Choice Award for “The Spooky Incident” at the 2002 World Horror Film Festival.

Genevieve Woo is a TV news producer-anchor with Channel NewsAsia and anchors the channel’s highly-rated “Singapore Tonight” every weekday at 10pm Singapore/Hong Kong time. She was formerly a copywriter in advertising and a newspaper editor.
