Staging for Camera workshop @ Objectifs1 min read

Objectifs presents a hands-on workshop on directing concepts and practical skills to enhance a young director’s craft. The workshop will be taught by American director David Schmoeller, whose short film The Spider Will Kill You was nominated for a Student Academy Award and evolved into the feature-length cult favourite Tourist Trap.

The workshop will cover issues to do with camera placement, different styles of coverage and shooting, and working with dailies to spot problems. To illuminate the process of shooting and editing to achieve a final cut, Schmoeller will compare dailies from his own movies with the completed and edited scenes.

The workshop costs $40 and will be held on Saturday, March 3 at Objectifs (12A Liang Seah Street) from 1 pm to 5 pm. Register via email: info@objectifs.com.sg
