The Substation’s 2nd Singapore Indie Doc Fest kicks off with a free preview screening on Saturday, March 3. The line-up will feature two short films from Singapore.

Singapore Indie Doc Fest logoSanta is Here, by Christina Oer, is a 3-minute documentary on the routine of people living and working at a disposal site in Cambodia. The film has previously been screened at the Kyoto International Student Film & Video Festival and Pisek International Student Film Festival.

Colour Wash & Spin, by Anna Christin Mallon, is a 30-minute documentary structured around questions that deal with cultural identity and the difficulties of finding it.

The screening will round up with Ang Yee Sien’s The Old House (from Malaysia) and Martin Khoier’s Love First (from Denmark). Admission is free.
