Open call to all the aspiring writers and film critics out there! We here at Sinema frequently get invites to awesome film events like festivals and screenings, and we’d love to pass on those opportunities to you. As a Sinema contributor, you’d be able to attend those events for free (some of them come with food!) and all we ask of you is a writeup or a review afterwards. With your name on the byline! Contributions would be largely on an event basis, but if you’re an avid cinephile, we’d be happy to post reviews of films you watch on …
kinefinity TERRA

2016 is certainly shaping up to be an interesting year for more affordable new cine cameras. Aputure VS1 FHD

Normally today most 7-inch budget field monitors for DSLR shooters and the like have a standard resolution of a either 800 x 480 or at best around 800×600 pixels. They have just announced two brand new monitors for DSLR and other budget shooters – the VS-1 FineHD and the VS-2 FineHD monitors. Both share stunning 1920 x 1200 resolutions, a notch above Full HD for pristine image quality and piece of mind …

The latest development from DJI is called the Phantom X Concept and is a ready-to-fly mini quad-copter (or a selfie flying camera) with some impressive features such as obstacle avoidance and intelligent tracking. The …
TinyMos-T1

The Tiny1 is a new camera that’s being developed by a three-person startup called TinyMOS over in Singapore. The tiny aluminum-bodied camera aims to do for astrophotography what the GoPro did for action video, bringing space imaging to the masses. The camera is designed to put astronomy imaging in the hands of ordinary people. Instead of investing in DSLR or telescope systems that can cost many thousands of dollars, Tiny1 will provide similar functionality in a much smaller and cheaper package. Inside the camera is a sensitive sensor that can capture things that are barely visible to the naked eye …

There are plenty of guns, fights and fiery explosions in the just-released trailer of upcoming Hollywood film Hitman: Agent 47.
