This September, Method Productions is putting together the Singapore Monologue Slam, the very first monologue competition in Singapore. This is a nation-wide casting call for young people with a passion for creative expression. The contestants, between ages 13-35, will perform a speech of their choice in front of a live audience, and leading professionals from theatre and film. Five winners will attend the 2016 Sundance Film Festival through the newly minted Sundance Ignite program. The Sundance Institute has announced Sundance Ignite, a new program intended to support the next generation of independent filmmakers. Launched in collaboration with Adobe, the program will offer 18-to-24-year-olds exclusive access to independent film and filmmaking experiences, including at the Sundance Film Festival.
