‘Weathering With You’ Premieres in Singapore at Capitol Theatre1 min read

Makoto Shinkai’s latest film, Weathering With You, had its premiere in Singapore on 6 September 2019 at Capitol Theatre. Over 900 guests and fans attended the premiere.

Weathering With You is Japan’s entry for the ‘Best International Feature Film’ category at the 2020 Oscars. This is the second animated feature put forward by Japan following Hayao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke in 1998.

The film has passed the USD100 million (10.7 billion yen) mark at its domestic box office, making it the highest-grossing domestic film since Your Name in 2016.

Sneak previews for Weathering With You will be available from 7 to 11 September 2019. The film will be officially released on 12 September 2019 in cinemas.
