CALL FOR ENTRIES: Lights, Camera and Action for a #DrugFreeSG1 min read

The Anti-Drug Video Competition is back for 2018! Showcase your creativity by producing a 3-5 min short video to raise awareness on drug abuse and adoption of a drug-free lifestyle, and to inspire anti-drug advocacy within our local youth community. CNB will also be holding a free videography workshop for interested participants.

CONTEST ENTRY DETAILS

  • Contest period: 1 February 2018 – 29 June 2018
  • Deadline: 29 June 2018
  • Open to Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents aged between 13 – 25.
  • No entry fee.
  • Individual and group entries welcome.
  • Live action and documentary films/videos of any genre all welcome.
  • Films/videos must be 3 – 5 minute duration.

Each team must submit a video to the theme of Lights, Camera, Action For A #DrugFreeSG and must include the tagline #DrugFreeSG and the Anti-Drug Ribbon logo.

WORKSHOP DETAILS

  • Venue: Lifelong Learning Institute, 11 Eunos Road 8, Singapore 408601
  • Admission: Free, but limited spaces available.
The videography workshop will be hosted by Ric Aw ““ an experienced film creative who has been making films that reflect on human conditions and his works have been screened in local and foreign film festivals. His short film “˜Piah’ was commended by Prime Minister Lee as “heart-warming short film” and “a story of loss, hope and reconciliation.” The film was viewed by more than 2 million viewers on the internet.

Ric will be sharing pointers on the processes of filmmaking, roles of essential personnel, developing the script, filming and production.
