Lexar recently introduced a 128GB version of its Professional 2000x SDXC UHS-II memory card. Once it launches, this new version will be the fastest 128GB memory card to utilise the Ultra High Speed II, UHS Speed Class 3 standard. The card is built to support capturing 4K, 3D, and Full HD video, and other demanding content.

This new Lexar SDXC card reads at speeds up to 300MB/second, and writes at speeds up to 260MB/second. The card is backwards compatible with existing devices that support slower speeds; it will operate at UHS-I or Class 10 speeds when necessary. In addition, the card is shipped with a UHS-II SD card-to-USB reader for use with a computer.

The Professional 2000x product line includes a 32GB SDHC card and a 64GB SDXC card. The 128GB version will launch this month for US$289.99/£224.99.

I have a passion for motion picture; which in that is the magic of make believe. New technologies that change the way we acquire content is what excites me. I enjoy cooking and cycling outside of work =)
