The SGIFF Southeast Asian Film Lab is back, following a successful inaugural year in 2014.

Headed by award-winning producer Terence Chang (Face/Off, Red Cliff), this 6-day workshop will comprise of masterclasses and individual consultation sessions with several established screenwriting practitioners from the Southeast Asia region.

The Southeast Asian Film Lab is aimed at emerging screenwriters and directors from Southeast Asia, who have had at least 2 short films screened at international film festivals.

The workshop will focus on stories that explore Southeast Asian identity, with potential to be developed into feature length screenplays.

Ten projects will be selected to participate.

The workshop will end with a pitch in front of an industry jury, where the most promising project will be presented $5,000 at the Silver Screen Awards.
