IFP 2011 Project Forum Showcase Films Announced (Seith Mann, Alrick Brown, Others Make The Cut)

Congrats to Seith Mann, Alrick brown, Nekisa Cooper, Ron Simons, and Lanre Olabisi who all have projects accepted into the IFP’s 2011 Project Forum showcase; just a sampling of the many other emerging and established filmmakers, writers and producers behind the 150 new films in development.

The Project Forum is the centerpiece of Independent Film Week, which takes place here in NYC in September, and its goal is to provide a place where industry execs can meet with new talent, discover fresh projects from emerging and veteran filmmakers, and maybe most importantly, pair talent with funders, supporters and/or producers.

I only mentioned the above 5 names because I instantly recognized them when I browsed through the 150-title long list; plus we’ve covered these folks in one post or another over the last 2 1/2 years since S&A was created.

But I plan to properly scrub the list and highlight others I may have missed.
