TWO graduate films have been shortlisted for the Grierson British Documentary Awards.

The Prisoner List, by Kate Owen and Danny Roberts, and Vince and Cherry’s Greatest Hits, by Ezra Byrne, Sam Smith-Higgins and Lucy Liddell are contesting the Best Student Documentary category.

Both films were made as part of the documentary film course at the University of Wales, Newport, a lead partner in the Skillset Media Academy Wales.

The Prisoner List tells of the stories of thousands of British soldiers, captured by the Japanese in Singapore in 1942 and documented by British Serviceman, Reuben Kandler.
