The action in this film that mixes cowboys on horses and invading aliens in spaceships looks really cool, down to detail of the cowpokes and otherworldly craft.
And with a cast that includes James Bond (well, the actor who plays him, Daniel Craig), and Indiana Jones (the actor who became him, Harrison Ford), there’s no shortage of tough-guy heroes.
But this premise–mixing “Aliens” with “Wyatt Earp”–was always going to be a tough one to sell.
Anxious to see how they’d pull this one off, I got my hopes up that they’d actually come up with a creative story that found a reason to mix these futuristic invaders and the wild West of the late 1800s.
Unfortunately, the folks who put this cool-looking but ultimately flat-feeling film together never did that.
