Reading Time: < 1 minuteCHINESE actress Zhang Ziyi and the new arts minister were among the guests to grace the launch of inaugural film business convention ScreenSingapore yesterday.
Zhang, one of the ambassadors of the event, and guest of honour Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, were on the red carpet for the opening gala premiere screening of the Chinese thriller The Devil Inside Me, held in the evening at Golden Village VivoCity.
ScreenSingapore is a week-long convention for international media players from the East and West to explore business opportunities in this part of the world.
The programme includes gala premieres of international films, conferences and a trade marketplace. It will run till Sunday, when it closes with the Asia-Pacific premiere of Larry Crowne, Hollywood star Tom Hanks’ new film.
