The lure of Meryl Streep in yet another potential Oscar-worthy project brought Asian buyers out in force for Lionsgate’s Great Hope Springs.

The film about the marriage counselling of a middle aged couple stars Streep, Tommy Lee Jones and Steve Carell and is to be directed by David Frankel.

In Asia the film was bought by Roadshow for Australia, Daisy Entertainment (데이지 엔터테인먼트) for South Korea, Golden Scene (高先電影有限公司) for Hong Kong, Star Entertainment for India, Sahamongkolfilm (สหมงคลฟิล์ม อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล) for Thailand, PT Amero for Indonesia, Pioneer for the Philippines and Cathay for Singapore.

Exclusive Films International sold police thriller project End Of Watch to Australia/New Zealand (Roadshow), Hong Kong (Golden Scene), Singapore (Golden Village) and Thailand (M Pictures). The film is in pre-production and stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena as LA cops who take on a Mexican drug cartel.
