Director Jean Yeo whips up a successful telemovie, Cooking Without Clothes. Originally aired on Channel U, the film was a hit with television audiences and was nominated for Best Single Drama/Telemovie Programme for the 5th Asian Television Awards 2010.

Cooking Without Clothes features Jeff (Joseph Chang), an engineer who quits his job to pursue his dream as a professional chef, to his father’s utter dismay. Jeff meets Jia Ying (Ann Kok), a veteran TV producer whose cooking program is facing a crisis after their diva host, Yang Tai, walks out of the production. When Jia Ying manages to turn Jeff into an up and coming celebrity chef, his father is all the more displeased, and joins forces with Yang Tay in a bid to foil Jeff’s success and resurrect Yang Tai’s flailing career.

Jean Yeo, a veteran in the media industry, is known for her extensive experience in local television as well as her 2008 feature film, Leap Years, which made film history as Singapore’s highest grossing locally-produced English-language feature film.
