Lido re-opens with new IMAX Hall1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteIconic Singapore theatre complex Shaw’s Lido Theatres opened its doors Thursday after closing seven months ago for a S$20 million renovation.
Apart from providing patrons with more legroom as well as dedicated lifts and special wheelchair lots for people with disabilities at its new cinema halls, the new 1,960-seater, 11-screen Lido theatre complex will also house Singapore’s first IMAX’s Digital Theatre System in its IMAX Hall.
The IMAX Theatre System has been touted as being able to provide cinema-goes with better sound and sharper visuals on a larger effective screen.
Disney’s upcoming blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean ““ On Stranger Tides” will be the first film screened at the IMAX Hall on May 19.
