Hong Kong festival drives new Quattro1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteAward-winning directors Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Brillante Mendoza, Ho Yuhang and Stanley Kwan will each make short films about Hong Kong for omnibus project Quattro Hong Kong 2.
The project is commissioned by Brand Hong Kong and produced by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society.
The finished work will have its world premiere at the upcoming 35th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF, 20 March ““ 5 April 2011).
The Quattro series began last year and featured short works by four local filmmakers Clara Law, Fruit Chan, Herman Yau and Heiward Mak. This year Kwan (pictured) is the only one of the four to be based in Hong Kong.
