Nanyang Technological University’s Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information is proud to present Perspectives Film Festival 2010!

This year’s film festival is themed “Breaking Through Reality” and it will feature a series of international films that break the boundaries of reality and story-telling as we know it.

In documentary, fiction, experimental cinema ““ these films use bold and unconventional techniques to collapse and merge reality and fiction, creating a whole new world on screen.

About the Event
Perspectives Film Festival 2010 will run from November 25 to 28 (Thursday to Sunday) at the Arts House. The five exciting titles that will be screened are: Waltz with Bashir, Gimme Shelter, Russian Ark, 24 City and Ten

Highlights:

  • All films will be screened on beautiful 35 mm film prints – a rare treat for cinema-lovers and film-buffs.
  • Perspectives Film Festival remains the first and only film festival in Singapore entirely managed and curated by students. From theme creation to film procurement to execution of publicity, all processes involved with the event are handled by students who come from the different faculties in NTU.
  • Coming from Israel, Iran, China, Russia and the US, the five films are widely diversified. They cover several genres of film such as War, Drama and Documentary, satisfying the different needs of the large film-loving crowd in Singapore.
  • The five films to be screened are widely celebrated, having won or been nominated prestigious awards, such as the Golden Globes. The films have also been showcased at international film festivals like the Toronto International Film Festival and the Cannes International Film Festival.
