August 2007– the pledge, is a non-profit movement started and supported by the very people who create works; and really care about our nation’s creative endeavors. This pledge is a simple testament to our conviction and support for our local talents.

It is quite a feat to create not one but three made-in-Singapore feature films in five years. We got hold of Gary and Royston for a few valuable hours amidst their busy schedules of being catching long delayed flights and tedious post-production work on their soon-to-be-released brand new feature 881.

It must have taken some time to come up with the program listing for this year’s Singapore Short Cuts, an annual event jointly organised by the Substation, National Museum and Singapore film commission. Into its fourth season this year, we are fortunate to have a comprehensive and highly commendable lineup. …
